This bow is beautiful! The riser is charcoal colored with multi-layered diamondwood. Quiet with no hand shock. The limbs have a Bamboo core with black glass overlay. There is dark hardwood in the limb wedge. The limb tips are reinforced for any modern string. The small tips reduce hand-shock and give speed. The 15" riser with long sweeping limbs makes for a sweet shooting bow and it weighs under 2 pounds!! It has a nice feeling, comfortable grip. This bow comes with a Dyneema string (fast flight material). Used for its, durability, strength and speed. This great price includes the bow set up with a nocking point, silencers, and the shelf and side material installed. We recommend using one of our large end bow stringer to string up this bow, (purchased separately for $13.00.) NOW INCLUDED!! One year warranty on riser/limbs. Additional longbow limbs are now available These limbs are able to interchange with the riser for a recurve OR a longbow. All that for the low price of $199.95!!
The bow is 60" with no stacking at least to 30" draw. This would make a great little hunting bow. Easy to maneuver in a tree stand or on the ground!!
NEW AT TWIG ARCHERY: Additional Longbow limbs for the Black Hunter can be purchased with a BAMBOO CORE ($99.99)
The Black Hunter Longbow, purchased at Twig Archery, took 3rd place at the 2016 Ohio State Traditional Championships in the Longbow class on the second day he owned it. (See Tony's review) Remember; the Black Hunter was competing against mostly expensive custom Longbows!!

I have owned several recurves including high-end customs. I purchased this bow in a lighter weight than I typically shoot and out of the box it shoots as well as the bows I have around the $1k mark. What a pleasant surprise and GREAT people to deal with. Super fast shipping too. Thank you!!!

First off, I'm switching this year to shoot trad for deer hunting, this bow is amazing. John is awesome and answered all of my questions about the black hunter bow.
Mine is 43# and shoots extremely well. I'm shooting 3 under with a fixed crawl. Bow is quiet and fast. You will NOT be disappointed. This bow shoots as well or better than my tradtech ILF rig.

This now is worth at least 3 times the asking price! Shoots fantastic. I bought a second set of limbs (lighter) to practice with and this fall I will hunt deer as this bow is more than capable in that capacity! Fantastic product.

I have been very fortunate to have owned several custom bows and enjoyed them all. The Black Hunter, longbow from Twig Archery, is maybe the smoothest shooting bow I have owned and quite frankly, has it all. Quite, fast and very nice looking.

Ordered bow from Twig Archery on a Sunday night, had it in my hands shooting Friday morning. What a bow, shoots great and handles like a dream. Well made and fit & finish very good. Price is awesome, $200 set up and ready to shoot. Good deal all the way around. Gold Tip Trads 600 fly well from it. I was impressed Left Hand risers also.
Great Bow, great deal Twig archery.

I picked mine up, after leaving it at the shop, while I healed from heart surgery,,, Sold 4 top end bows last year, had to decrease my weight, and found this bow, in the bow shop,,,,, After 6 months its in my hands
Shoots like a dream, dead nuts with it,,, put 100 grain inserts in GT 500s, 3 5 1/2 barred fletching, 125 Magnus BH,,,, love this bow
ordering a side kick quiver for it, that cost half of what this bow cost me, bought it for 250.00...... I like to buy at the local bow shops, if you do not support them, they will be gone,,,,,,,
great bow, taking it pig hunting in 3 weeks

I just got the Black Hunter bow. I saw the videos that Twig Archery has and liked the bow but was skeptical about how good it could be for that kinda money and if it really was just another piece of junk. This bow is not a piece of junk. In fact this is an excellent bow. For the money you are getting a bow that appears to be worth much more. The riser is solid with a little weight behind it for stability. The limbs are made extremely well. No defects on them at all and smooth edges with a nice finish. It’s high performance string capable and this bow shoots quiet and fast. I have several bows and this one is considerably less in cost but match in performance. My new favorite bow. Again this bow is awesome. It’s not junk. You won’t be disappointed with this bow. Give Twig Archery a call if you’re interested. They will hook you up.

I received my Big Rock Black Hunter longbow today from Twig Archery. I just want to share my initial review, and will add more feedback after more time shooting it. First off, customer service at Twig Archery is outstanding! They were very helpful in assisting me in selecting a bow for deer hunting. Shipping was prompt and the packaging was excellent too. I quickly assembled the bow and set the brace height. The free stringer that came with the bow is very good. I purchased a half dozen R2S wood arrows spined for my draw weight of 50#. The Black Hunter longbow shot very well. It is exceptionally quiet with the cat whiskers provided by Twig Archery. I see no need to add any other string silencer to use this bow for hunting. There is no stacking, no hand shock, and the arrows flew straight and true with a solid thud on impact. This bow has plenty of power. It draws smoothly and feels great in the hand, particularly for somebody like me who has a draw length of 27". The center-shot design of the riser and shelf greatly minimize errors in windage. This is a very forgiving bow to shoot! The Big Rock Black Hunter is a keeper. I am excited to practice with it and take it hunting next deer season. I will also continue to use Twig Archery for all of my archery needs. I could not be more pleased with this purchase. You will have a difficult time finding a better bow at two or three times the cost of the Black Hunter.
