This bow is beautiful!  The riser is charcoal colored with multi-layered diamondwood.  Quiet with no hand shock.  The limbs have a Bamboo core with black glass overlay.  There is dark hardwood in the limb wedge.  The limb tips are reinforced for any modern string.  The small tips reduce hand-shock and give speed.  The 15" riser with long sweeping limbs makes for a sweet shooting bow and it weighs under 2 pounds!!  It has a nice feeling, comfortable grip.  This bow comes with a Dyneema string (fast flight material).  Used for its, durability, strength and speed.  This great price includes the bow set up with a nocking point, silencers, and the shelf and side material installed.  We recommend using one of our large end bow stringer to string up this bow, (purchased separately for $13.00.) NOW INCLUDED!! One year warranty on riser/limbs.  Additional longbow limbs are now available   These limbs are able to interchange with the riser for a recurve OR a longbow.   All that for the low price of $199.95!!

The bow is 60" with no stacking at least to 30" draw. This would make a great little hunting bow.  Easy to maneuver in a tree stand or on the ground!!

    Really a nice bow, arrow sits a little forward of the grip,that’s fine I’m not a pro. Showed it to the guy behind the archery counter at the local sporting goods store where I go a lot. Said he might buy one also…you can not go wrong by buying this black hunter longbow from Twig.

    I purchased this bow as a gift after having heard good things about it. I have to say that I am impressed. The finish on the bow is quite good, the limbs fit up very well and mate to the limb pads very nicely. The string is nicely done, I don't care for the string silencers supplied though. Shooting the bow is also a pleasant experience. The bow feels quite smooth (which was confirmed by a Force/Draw curve). The grip is very nice and the bow shoots very nicely. I would say this is a nice bow period regardless of price.

    I had been reading comments from other folks about how good this little Black Hunter Longbow was. It is relatively inexpensive so I thought I would get one. This bow is a shooter! Fit and finish was much better than I expected. Will probably be ordering another set of limbs for this bow. Excellent purchase and excellent service from the fine folks at TWIG Archery.

    The Black Hunter is the first traditional bow I've ever owned. I wanted to try something inexpensive but solid and this bow is magnificant. The appearance is perfect and the feel is smooth. Just what the bow doctor ordered. I've been shooting for a couple of years and can't imagine needing another trad bow.

    Bow arrived in mail and I couldn't be happier with it.
    This bow performs better than some of my custom bows.
    At 45#'s it is a sweet little shooter. Fit and finish are near perfect. Twig set the bow up wonderfully. I did have to do A little brace height adjustment.
    Only a couple of what I consider bad things with this bow.
    #1.Serving on top loop of string was loose and had to be glued.
    #2.Bottom limb doesn't fit riser perfectly but nothing five minutes of sanding won't fix.
    This bow is a great shooter and a great value. Buy it you'll love it. Thanks Twig Archery.

    Great bow... Well worth the cost. I come from 30 years of Bear recurve hunting and never shooting a long bow. This bow is now my go to hunting bow. The old Bear can rest easy. Zero handshock and amazing service from Twig Archery. Can't wait to get in the woods.

    Recently received my Black Hunter Long Bow and I must say I'm very impressed with the Bow. The quality is outstanding, its smooth shooting, accurate and very quiet. I'm looking forward to shooting it on the 3D range this Fall.
