I've been away from traditional archery for decades and recently wanted to start shooting again. I had an old 45# Browning that I pulled out and quickly remembered why I moved away. I watched numerous trad videos and came across Greg's video and thought I'd give the convertabow a try. Thus far I'm pretty happy with the way the bow shoots. Doesn't stack, my capable draw length has increased almost two inches and I'm gradually developing my shot process and may even hunt with it next year. I have the 45# set-up.

Let me start by saying I too was the guy that grew up shooting compound bows. But six years ago, thanks to Scott Robertson (a trad shooter) in my bow club, he helped me make the switch. I sold all my compound gear and dove head first into the traditional world of archery and I have not looked back. I purchased the black shark converter bow last year from Twig Archery and this bow has surprised me in every form of the word. I have experimented with several longbows, recurves and take down bows and the black shark is my favorite and for the price you can’t go wrong
I have a 31 inch draw, I bought the Black Shark with 45 pound standard conventional limbs, This bow does not stack for me even a little bit. I have also outfitted this bow with 40 and 50 pound ILF tradtech limbs and it performs wonderfully. It really is very simple converting it back and forth from standard limbs to ILF. If this is something that makes you hesitant don't let it. John is wonderful to deal with and if necessary he will stay on the phone with you and talk you through it.
. I am not any type of representative for Twig archery, just a very satisfied customer.
The best of luck to you in your archery endeavors
sincerely Greg Shaffer

I bought this bow after shooting a friends BlackShark. I've shot many brands of bows and this is one of the smoothest and most quiet bows I've ever shot. It is a pleasure to shoot and John is great to deal with. It is very impressive for the price.

I didn't know what to expect with this bow. I bought it to have ILF capability. After shooting for a few days it has become one of my favorite bows. The 43 pound draw is the perfect weight for me. (There is slight rattle in the riser which I hardly notice).
Reply from Twig Archery: The slight rattle is due from loose allen lockers. Snug them up if you experience this issue.
