I purchased the bow for my daughter to learn on and for me to do some back-to-basics shooting. Package 1 from Twig added convenience and increased the value for the money, although I had to move the nocking point as it appeared to be aligned to about where a rest would align and we planned to shoot off the shelf. The shelf and side materials work well. It is fun to shoot and supports the beginner well

On a recent backwoods trip six people including female and male, 23-57 yrs. old, petite to linebacker in size, saw one and all able to shoot fine groupings and have a fun time for first timers with a 40# version of this versatile bow. What a hoot! A terrific experience dealing with the fine folks at Twig Archery.

Samick Sage take down bow came in the mail, I strung it using the included bow stringer, pulled back the first arrow, and CRACK! I felt and heard a snapping sound. The upper part of the riser cracked along the seem where the riser parts were glued together. Very disappointed, especially after reading all the great reviews. Guess these things happen with a mass produced, low cost bow.
As for customer service, could have been better. A Lancaster Customer Service number was included with the order for any warranty issues. I called Lancaster and they tosted me back to Twig Archery. I waited two days to hear back from Twig and was told to call Lancaster's Customer Service, again. Finally, I was told a replacement would be sent in the mail. I'm still awaiting the arrival of the new bow.
NOTE FROM TWIG ARCHERY:
First we are very sorry this customer got a defective riser.
The correct procedure for any warranty issues is to contact Customer Service at Lancaster Archery and explain the issue and they will handle it. This customer called me on Saturday after he talked to someone at Lancaster Archery. I told the customer that the guy he talked to was incorrect in his information. Twig Archery does NOT take care of warranty issues. I told the customer I would get back to him after speaking with our L.A, contact. As it was the weekend he was not available until Monday. After speaking with him I immediately returned a call to the customer to tell him our original information was correct and LA would take care of his warranty issue. Our contact said he would inform his staff of the correct warranty procedure.
We are also sorry that our customer was not able to get his issue resolved more quickly.

From the time I ordered it, I received this bow in less than a week from Twigarchery, . I needed a bow for the backyard and bowfishing cuz I didn't want to stink up my good bows with fish guts, eggs, and silt. I wasn't expecting much of a bow at the price, but, I was surprised at the quality. I usually don't buy Chinese products, but the only things I found off, were a few very minor flaws in the finish, nothing that would affect shootability, and far less than expected at this price range. The limbs fit perfectly, not too tight or too loose. No instructions came with the bow, but if you can't figure out two Knurled bolts and a string, you have no business messing with a weapon, even if it's not more than a string tied to a stick, or even a kitchen knife, baseball bat, tire iron or razor. You could hunt deer or turkey, or just about any game in North America with this bow. It's more accurate as I am.

We heard the Samick Sage Recurve bow was the best bow at the best price & since we were beginners, we didn't want too spend much. After receiving the first one, we purchased a few more. Now the whole family is enjoying our new hobby with great bows at a great price. And Twig Archery has the best deal with their bow packages that include stringers, rest plates, etc. We highly recommend the Samick Sage and Twig Archery to all..
