Two things to review here - the bow and Twig Archery.
I'm very new to archery and knew next to nothing. I called John at Twig and he made me feel very comfortable. We talked for almost 30 minutes about what I was looking for and what I needed to get started. He helped me get all the gear I needed including some great looking and great flying wood arrows. My order was filled quite fast and I had the bow in hand about 4 days later. Excellent service from a guy that knows his stuff.
Next the bow. I had done a lot of internet research before I called Twig and was pretty well set on the Samick Sage recurve. I have to say that all of the reviews are spot-on - this is a beautiful bow that is a pleasure to shoot. I took it to the range tonight for the first time and was smacking very nice groupings at 25 yards in about 20 minutes (keep in mind that I'd shot a sum total of no more than 50 shots with other bows prior to this). I find that to be amazing! It shot very smooth and is nice and quiet with the silencers they put on with the package. The fact that they do that for you and place the nock for you and set the brace height for you is really nice when you're just starting out. Go for one of the packages - great deal!

I am new to traditional archery but, the Sage gets high marks for a guy like me. I have enjoyed shooting it so far. I cannot say enough about Twig Archery, Super nice, Knowledgeable and available to talk and advise! My order shipped the same day and got here in 3 days! Awesome, honest folks who are proud of what they do! I will shop with them again!

have not shot this bow much yet but seems adequate. more set up i'm sure will help. this is actually a good looking bow for the bucks and i wouldn't be surprised if i catch myself buying another one in a different poundage.

Extremely fast processing and shipping, I ordered on Monday, and was shooting by Wednesday. The package deal is great, and the instructional video on the website made it a breeze to get up and going right away. I'm a beginner without anything to compare it to, but this just feels like a really great bow, that's going to last me a really long time.

Bought the 45# Samick Sage bow and I'm very happy with performance. Much more fun to shoot than my compound. Looks good and shoots nice. Bought a 30# Sage 2 weeks later so my wife could shoot. The 45# was too much for her. Son in law bought a 50# after trying mine. Twig was very helpful in arrow selection and answering question. Cost was comparable to other sites. I rate their service as excellent and turn around time fast. I recommend both the Samick Sage Recurve and Twig archery.

This is a GREAT bow and the Sage is more than just an entry level product. This bow will take you to the intermediate stage and beyond. If you are new to traditional recurve archery, this bow is for you.
Great looking quality bow. Shoots smooth and silent.
Kudos also go out to Gayle at Twig Archery for great customer service on this purchase.

Twig was an excellent experience. GREAT service and care! 4 stars because when I opened the bow and tried to put the bottom limb into the metal "holder", it didnt accept. When i looked closer, one corner of one wall of the metal holder was bent in. But, after a little vise work, the bow, like Twig, was excellent! This could have been the shipping, and im not blaming this on Twig, but just telling it like it was. Again, awesome job Twig and will definately do business again!

Twig and the Sage both inspire complete confidence. The riser looks a tad clunky, but the wood and finish are attractive and it feels ultra-solid and comfortable. The 30-pound one I got was smooth & dead-quiet right out of the box, but I put some sticky-felt in the limb pockets to improve the fit. I gave one fingerbolt a TINY goose with a pliers, and that stopped all looseness. String that comes with it is an anchor cable and silencers are a couple of tarantulas, but that can be fixed. This will probably be a great, super-cheap bow for everyone.

For the whole setup you can't beat Twig's price. They give you everything you need to start shooting at the same price you will only get the riser and limbs at other places. Plus the string set up with nocking point, shelf padding, and silencers already installed. And a stringer. Perfect.

I was looking into getting started with traditional archery, when I came across these guys. Let me tell you, Twig's service was amazing! I had many, many, many questions about everything, and John or Gayle was always ready to answer them.
The bow is great! Arrived within two days, and I set it up and shot for the first time in a couple years!
The Sage shoots with ease, it's quiet, and the arrows are just great! (Jazz)
Even after the second day shooting, I have no problems or complaints. Everything is just perfect :)
Trust me, this is the bow to get if you are just getting started. Thank you so much Twig! You've helped my dreams come true!
