Twig archery was very helpful and gave me great info as this is my first recurve. Great deal fast shipping. If I ever win the lottery I'll definitely be back . The Samick sage is impressive. Finish is pretty nice for it being a bargain bow . Feels quality made in the hand. A very handsome bow for sure. I think it was an excellent purchase. THANKS TWIG!!!!!

As a beginner I wanted something affordable to start with. I thought I was getting an economy bow that would shoot well.
Instead the bow I received is much more then that. I'm really impressed with the quality of the bow for the price. In fact, when I brought the bow into a local shop to get arrows fitted to it, the guy who owned the shop was impressed as well (they don't carry Samick).
This bow itself shoot great, but the archer could use some practice :)
This review is for the Samick Sage bow, and I will gladly give it 5 stars. However I have to mention the great service I received from Twig Archery.
I spoke with John and he talked with me for over 30 minutes, answering all of my questions and helping me figure out what I should order. This was some of the best customer service I have ever experienced.
I ordered my bow and it shipped the same day. I had it in my hands 2 days later.
And finally the online video showing me how to set up my Sage was awesome.
Thank you for such a great experience and helping me to discover the fun of archery!

Set up: 50 lbs, left hand, package 1
Modifications: Replaced Dacron string with Dyneema endless loop string (noticeable arrow speed increase). Added cheap elastomer type stabilizer (I don't like the look but it seems to improve my accuracy). Added beaver fur string silencers.
Reason for purchase: Wanted a low cost modern recurve to benchmark the performance of my handmade longbows but really enjoy shooting it.
Impressions: Solid value, smooth draw, accurate, very plain flat finish, seems to be a few lbs heavier than marked, beefy comfortable grip, riser is blocky, limbs fit riser well, no issues after several hundred arrows, hard to find serious fault in a bow of this quality and price. Twig processed order and shipped very fast--ordered on Tuesday, received on Friday.

You guys rock! Ordered the samick sage t/d recurve#40, with package 1, and I couldn't be happier. It shipped quickly and when i had questions your staff was quick to respond and very knowledgable, even sent me an email alerting me to their new shipment coming in. Out of the box, This bow is great, it is accurate and silent. The pre-nocked nock was perfect, no adjustment necessary, and the string has broken in very well. This bow is such a pleasure to shoot. thanks for the great service, value and product.

I bought the 30# version of this as something fun for my wife and I to do together. The low weight is great for perfecting your form and super fun to shoot. John was great on the phone with helping match up arrows. I would certainly recommend Package 3, as the black quiver is really nice. This package is the best value I could find and I will definitely come back to Twig Archery for future purchases.

Ordered one of these for my girlfriend with 30# limbs, never shot before 2nd day out she is hitting 8" groups at 15 yards. Smooth drawing fast bow very forgiving for beginners and if she wants heavier limbs will be very economical to upgrade to stronger limbs. Twig's service and shipping times are amazing package set up is 1st rate. couldn't be happier

I called Twig Archery before making my purchase online and was given all the details I needed to feel comfortable buying my fist bow. Both owners, John and Gayle, were great about helping me to choose the right recurve and they were also enthusiastic to tutor a new female archer, which made the experience even more fun. The Sage is light, good looking, and comfortable to shoot. I bought custom arrows from Twig and, conveniently, all the accessories I needed to start shooting came with the bow. A video is also available that shows how to put the bow together and use the stringer. At 5'2" and not a super-hero, the 30# Samick Sage take-down is a perfect fit for me but, should I ever become a super-hero, the Sage limbs are up-gradable to heavier weights so it will ALWAYS be the perfect fit. Thank's for aiming me at the right target, Twig!

Twig Archery did right by me. Promptly returned my questions for a bow recommendation and had my bow package and custom arrows packaged and shipped with very quick turnaround. Not to mention, you can't beat the free stringer, nock, and silencers. I seldom find that kind of service anywhere, let alone online.
Can't recommend these folks highly enough!

Though I shot a long bow for many years when I was young-I haven't shot a bow in quite some time now. I decided to pick up an inexpensive bow to give it a go and see if I still liked it or not before I invested in better equipment. I'm sure glad I searched around and found Twig Archery! John and Gayle both have been VERY helpful for a newbie and recommended the Sage T/D bow. I went ahead and got package #3 and what a deal! Shipping was super fast and everything was great, John even set up the bow for me.
I received the package in two days and took that baby right out back and gave it a whirl. Shot like a dream, what a bow!! And for the price it's just a sin not to buy one. Anyone thinking of getting into the sport needs to buy this bow from Twig. Just give John a call and he'll take it from there, good people.
My son and I shot it for an hour or so and I went right back in the house and called John to order a second package for my son, he loved it too!
Thank you Twig Archery, John & Gayle, can't wait for the second one to arrive!!
