  1. Can't complain 5 Star Review

Posted by on 26th May 2013

For the price, it is unbeatable. It's easy to put together/take apart, it's aesthetically nice, it is functional and it's comfortable.

  2. Amazing beginners bow 4 Star Review

Posted by on 22nd May 2013

I just recently started my interest in archery and this bow was almost unanimously recommended by many people. I opted to get the 25# as it is the lowest poundage available so that i can work strictly on form.
This bow shoots amazingly well. It has bushings to install a sight and plunger if you want but I kept mine simple with only a stick on elevated rest.
I did upgrade the string to a 14 strand D97 fast flight string as I've seen many reviews mention that the stock string is junk.

  3. My first bow - did the research 5 Star Review

Posted by on 4th May 2013

I really wanted a gun. Decided on a more economical option. Read the survivalist forums and ultimately decided on the sage 50#. Love it, my friends love it too. Looks great and its so quiet. Challenging too, I'm hitting the target consistently and enjoying every minute. A lot of practice to go, but well worth the effort.

  4. Unbelievable Value!! Completely Satisfied! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 28th Apr 2013

I can't say enough about how impressed I am with Twig Archery and my new Samick Sage. First, I ordered the bow with package 2 at 11:22pm on a wednesday night. I received everything in flawless condition by that Sat. morning. 2 days!! ARE You Kidding me?? I was expecting 10 to 14 days. Well above expectations, way to go Twig Archery.

Next I contacted Twig about arrows. I wanted affordable practice target arrows that would shoot well with my 40# draw weight. Gayle was amazing! He made a suggestion, invoiced, built and shipped everything in a very professional, very timely manner. I received my arrows in flawless condition and they have been well above expectations as well!

Finally the bow. Wow! For the money, the performance is Fantastic. The draw is smooth, it has terrific power, and it shoots straight and true. I can see why some people might have concerns about the finish but this is so inexpensive a bow that even that was above my expectations. I give this product a 5 star because it is a great value for the money. I give TWIG ARCHERY 10/10 because frankly 5 stars sells them a bit short.

I highly recommend Twig Archery and have no doubt that whether this bow is being purchased or another product, you will receive services and products well above expectations.

  5. Exellent Bow 5 Star Review

  6. Excellent Bow Excellent value 5 Star Review

Posted by on 23rd Apr 2013

My first factory made bow and I couldn't be happier. Shoots sweet right out of box. Lives up to all those other glowing reviews you've seen online. My only minor quibble is that the package should have offered an adult male armguard even if it was a few bucks more. I'm not very big or heavy muscled but even the adjustable guard was too tight and too small. Still the bow is great.

  7. Excellent beginner bow 5 Star Review

Posted by on 18th Apr 2013

I am new to archery, and wanted a reliable, affordable recurve bow to try my hand at archery. After months of researching every beginner bow on the market, I settled on the Samick Sage. I got my bow within a week of ordering, and have had a few chances to shoot this bow. In my opinion, this is an excellent bow. I've shot several hundred arrows through it by now, and it shoots smooth and straight every time. I got a low poundage bow to help build my form, and so far it is working excellent. I'm able to hit the target as far back as 35ft, and get consecutive grouping when i'm at 20ft. The riser on my samick is a really nice green/grey tinted wood with a blonde laminate. The bow came equipped with a rest, string silencers, quiver, and stringer. If your looking to try your hand at archery, this is definitely the most affordable, enjoyable bow on the market for beginners!
***Twig Archery was also EXTREMELY helpful in getting me set up with everything I needed to get started, and they were very informative and friendly. I can't imagine buying from nicer people than Gayle and John.

  8. sweet shooter 4 Star Review

Posted by on 7th Jan 2013

just got the samick sage about a month ago. it is a very nice bow for a great price. shoots smooth and quite. no hand shock at all. i would definitely recommend this bow to anyone who want to get into traditional archery.

  9. Amazing value! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 18th Dec 2012

I bought this bow for my 15 y.o. son who wanted to get into archery. He wanted a new compound and I wanted him to start on traditional equipment first. I even told him that if he shot this Sage for 3 months and still wanted a compound, I would buy him one. Long story short? Another trad convert! I got him the 30# limbs so that he could develop good form first. This bow is amazing for the money. Is it a finely crafted work of art? No, but you don't have to hide it from your friends either. It's a good looking bow and has a nice, sweet draw even back to my 29". It is a real pleasure to shoot and he has spent every spare minute shooting it. What more could you ask for that Price? Twig was great also. Even though they are swamped for X-Mas, they got it too me quickly and undamaged. I got the #2 package, which is hard to beat, IMHO. Thanks to the folks at Twig for a great deal on a great bow!

  10. Everything you could ask for out of an entry level take down 4 Star Review

Posted by on 11th Dec 2012

This bow is very exceptional especially for the price. This was my first take down recurve. I began shooting with a Bear Archery kodiak magnum #40lb draw and wanted a "cheap" upgrade in draw weight. I ordered mine with #60lb limbs and the bow packs a punch. No recoil in the riser. Smooth draw and release. And its perfect for bow fishing. Definitely a must buy for all beginners and even skilled shooters that don't want to fork over 700 for a "well known" take down recurve.
