  1. Great Beginner arrows! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 3rd Apr 2021

I actually purchased 6 dozen of these arrows in 2018 for a Cub Scout day camp, but forgot to leave a review. Twig Archery gave me a great deal on them and we are very happy with them! The Cubs were shooting cheap fiberglass and aluminum arrows and breaking/bending about 10 per day. We finished a 200 kid, 4 day camp with only 2 broken! With regards to the "varying quality" comment, these are great entry level arrows that are for kids to learn to shoot, not for the person trying to tighten their groups. Thanks Twig Archery for the great quality, durable arrows. When we break more, we will buy again!

  2. Varying quality 2 Star Review

This is for the newer style with field points. The former style with crimped on points were much better and consistent. Some were crooked limp noodles They hit all over the place with two main groups. Trying on different pound bows, four were correct spine for advertised weight. Six were much heavier spine. Two were noodly. I feel like I paid for 12 arrows and got four.

Note from Twig Archery: These arrows are made in the USA and advertised as ENTRY LEVEL ARROWS. They are for someone just starting out and trying to get the feel of archery, work on their form, and want a low priced arrow . These arrows are not spine labeled or matched. They are various spines. If you are looking for a matched, spined, dozen arrows, these may not be for you. You will need to check out another choice of arrow.

These arrows are durable and fly straight and are also beautiful. They fly very far. They are my first wooden arrows. I'm buying more shortly.

  4. Very good value 5 Star Review

Posted by on 24th Nov 2014

I gave these arrows five stars because of the consistency of performance, low cost. These arrows fly straight and uniformly.

These arrows are being shot with a 28# recurve for over two weeks. All twelve are still in excellent condition and being shot almost daily.

I fully intend to reorder when I need more.

  5. Great arrows for the price and beginners 4 Star Review

Posted by on 21st Oct 2014

I called quite a few times just to get these arrows with fieldpoints instead of the crimp on points and im glad i did. When i received them they looked good and shot straight. Yes if you miss your target or hit a piece of wood behind your target the arrow has a better chance of breaking then a more expensive set of arrows but while your learning i found it better for myself to break and lose these then it did my nice $100+ set of arrows. I use these mainly for people im helping to learn or who need to borrow gear when we go shooting at the range.
I would recommend learning how to hand straighten arrows for the ones that do miss and dont break tend to get bends in them which can be reversible.
I can see how the one reviewer would think these are not good when your just learning, after i lost and broke 6 of my expensive arrows i bought alot of these to learn with and im glad i did and will continue to recommend them to anyone wanting to learn with wooden arrows

  6. Great beginners 4 Star Review

I have bought to sets from Twig. I am new to the sport and use them for target practice in the backyard.

I use a 30# Sage Piolaris. Perfect, economical arrow. They are strong and durable. Come with good quality field points.

Buy from Twig; you you will get a high quality product and fast service.

  7. Nice starter arrows 4 Star Review

Posted by on 23rd Aug 2014

These arrows are economical. They are well made and have nice points. A couple have flown over my target and hit my wooded shed and still shoot well. Initially I bought six, and I just bought a dozen more.

  8. not very good arrows 3 Star Review

Posted by on 28th Feb 2014

These are not very good arrows. Sure there straight and light but I have had 6 of them for two weeks and only one survives. One completely shattered into 3 pieces when I missed the target and hit the backstop. 3 arrows lost the end where it sits on the string. And one had the tip vroke off when I missed the target. Sure you'll save some money with these but you will just have to buy more. I am shooting these out of a 30# 62" Samick polaris

    *Note from Twig Archery:
Our advice if you are missing the target consistently, you need to move closer to the target. You should start out at about 10 yards until you are consistently hitting in a small paper plate size. (Shoot at different paper plates, not all arrows at 1 plate so there is less chance of hitting your other arrow.) Then move back 5 yards and repeat. These arrows are for bows 30# or under at no more than 27" draw.

  9. Quality and value 5 Star Review

Posted by on 10th Dec 2013

These arrows are a great value if you shoot a bow under 30#. When they arrived I was surprised and how nice they looked, almost did not want to shoot them! Arrows shoot straight and are a great value. Also want to say what a pleasure it is doing business with John and Gayle. They are the best, they really take care of the customer. I will always shop here for my archery supplies.

  10. Great Arrows for a beginner 5 Star Review

Posted by on 27th Nov 2013

I'm fairly new to archery and was using a #20 recurve bow and some cheap aluminum arrows. After getting my cedar arrows from Twig Archery, I realized what shooting a quality arrow felt like. The shipping and packaging of the product was excellent too. I'm looking forward to purchasing a Samick Sage from Twig Archery in the near future. Hopefully for Christmas. This will be my go to site for Archery equipment and information (the demo videos on the site are very helpful, hope to see more). Happy Thanksgiving!
