  1. Bow is a Winner 5 Star Review

Posted by on 27th Jun 2017

"My Samick Polaris is a very attractive and well-made bow that shoots smoothly with plenty of zip. It is made to order for those archers with light to medium draw weights, like my daughter. But at the maximum draw weight offering of 40lbs., it is also an economical hunting bow, since it has provision for mounting a sight. If you don't want to go hunting, the sight can be used for target practice to help establish good shooting form. What a winner! This bow would be a bargain at more than twice the price".

  2. Good product/Great service 4 Star Review

Posted by on 12th Feb 2015

Ordered on Wednesday..arrived on Saturday.Pa. to Tx.Can't beat that.Very good coordination between Twig and Lancaster.
Bow had a slight twist but Lancaster gave me the opportunity to try to straighten or send a new limb,no questions asked. One tip seemed a little rough but a little steel wool fixed in a few minutes.Bow itself is a good buy and pleasure to shoot.

  3. Good value, quality product. 4 Star Review

Posted by on 30th Dec 2014

Bought the bow for my grandson who wants to try his hand a bow hunting. This will be a good starting point to see if he maintains interest. I strung it up and found it to be a good quality product and can be upgraded easily with other bells & whistles later if needed and/or desired. Easily breaks down for storage but is nice enough to hang on the wall.

  4. Positive Feedback for Twig and Polaris bow 5 Star Review

Posted by on 21st Oct 2014

I want to give a very positive feedback to Twig Archery on multiple items. First, the service and customer support was "above and beyond"-absolutely fantastic. John spent a fair amount of time with me on the phone guiding me through a selection process which led to a Samick Journey bow. I got 30 lb limbs. Glad I did. It has been great fun improving my technique and skills. I brought this bow to my local 3d archery club, and everyone who shot it, loved it. "Draws smooth." Draws like butter." "Going to get one." These were typical comments from experienced archers. John set me up with some Easton Tribute 1816 shafts with 4" feather fletching. They shoot great. I shot them in a 3d match this summer and surprised a few shooters (and myself). These 30 lb limbs slings the arrows with zip. I really enjoy this bow. I can't recommend the Journey, or Twig Archery strong enough. Buy with confidence. I draw 29" and I don't get any stacking with the 64" Journey. Old fashioned service is found at Twig. They impressed me. PS. My wife shoots a Samick Polaris 62" with 24lb limbs (1416 Eaton Jazz shafts). The Polaris is a mighty fine bow too.

  5. Grea tfor beginners 5 Star Review

Posted by on 23rd Aug 2014

I am just starting out in archery. I toyed with buying the Samick Sage, but decided on the Polaris because it is cheaper. Made well, shoots well. perfect for beginners who just want to target shoot. I bought a 30# draw. Can't wait to upgrade alreay.

  6. great bow 5 Star Review

Posted by on 28th Feb 2014

I bought this for my self a 23 year old 6' 235lb man. It is listed as a youth bow but I feel it suites me well and feels great in my hand. Nice and light. The wood laminating looks great. Twig got my bow to me in a day shy of a week.(monday holiday) From OH to MA. The bow stringer is the only downfall. The pocket wear the end of the limbs slide in are to long it is hard to string. But I shoot my how regularly and no need to unstring it

*Note from Twig Archery: The stringer that comes with our packages is a universal stringer to fit different bows. The way to make the stringer more user friendly is to pack a small square of cloth in the small end to keep the cup from going on too far. We explain this fully and show you how to do this on the video on our website at www.twigarchery.com in the video demo section. See the video "Assembling your Samick Sage bow" Works the same with the Polaris bows.

  7. Good product and Twig is awesome 4 Star Review

Posted by on 11th Feb 2014

Ordered this bow for my daughter and she is enjoying it very much. Quality is good and it shoots consistently. Dealing with the Twig archery folks was helpful and easy. I recommend Twig and the Samick Polaris for beginning archers. I would add though, go with a lower poundage limb to start with to get proper technique, then add a some higher poundage limbs later.

  8. Great beginner's bow 5 Star Review

Sturdy, well built, straight shooter. Great looking as well. My 9 year old boy loves it. Highly recommend for a first bow.

Shipping was faster then expected !
    Thank You Twig

  10. Amazing Value, Incredibly fun, & No reason to look elsewhere for a bow 5 Star Review

Posted by on 24th Jul 2013

I spend way too much time researching options for a recurve bow when all other reviews singled out the Samick Sage & Polaris as excellent choices. I was willing to spend a lot more if it got me into Archery without having to immediately upgrade to better equipment. I went with the Polaris over the Sage as I fancied myself doing more target shooting and the various limb & riser options for my family. We've been very happy with the polaris in 48" 12lbs for my 4year old daughter and my 60" at 40lbs is likely enough bow to get up there with the best archers around with enough time and practice. Spending more on any other bow is purely status & image - besides the Samick is a good looking bow anyway.
