Posted by on 28th Sep 2013

I just got my bow last week and I am very happy with my purchase. Great customer service experience!!The staff was kind enough to quickly email me back on a few questions I had, package shipped quick, bow and accessories in great shape. I would definitely do business with Twig again....Highly recommend the site...I already made 2 zombie dummies for target practice and I just can't have enough of my 50lb Samick Journey ...

  2. Samick journey 5 Star Review

Posted by on 24th Aug 2013

I ordered this bow expecting it to have flaws like I had read about but so far I can't find any, finish is near perfect. Needless to say I am very happy. I don't think for the money that I could have chosen better.

  3. Good deal on a good bow setup 5 Star Review

Posted by on 16th Aug 2013

Twig shipped the bow super fast and everything was all set up just right with the correct brace height and all. This is my first recurve since I was a kid and it's a blast to shoot. Its quiet and smooth shooting, and the 62" length is really nice with a longer draw (I draw 30.5"). The bow quiver is is nice and quiet and stays put, just like it should.
You really can't beat this deal if your looking to get into an affordable recurve. If Twig still has them, don't be afraid to pull the trigger.

  4. Samick Journey Recurve Bow 5 Star Review

For a first time recurve bow, it is a great value for the price and shoots smoothly for a 64" length.

  5. Nice upgrade for a casual shooter 5 Star Review

Posted by on 26th Jun 2013

The bow shipped quickly and arrived in great condition, ready to shoot. It is a very simple, but nicely built bow. Perfect for someone who wants to shoot occasionally, just to accompany my kids to the range. I'm upgrading from a 35 year old, 35# Bear recurve. My new 45# Journey really makes the arrows fly. The only problem is I have to get used to much less drop over distance!

    Thanks Twig

  6. Excellent 1st recurve for a tall person! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 6th Jun 2013

I just received this bow from Twig. I got the package deal and I'm glad I did! The bow arrived with string nock and silencers installed, and came with a bow stringer too.

Within 5 minutes I had the bow together and strung. First impressions are that this bow is VERY well made for the price. Pull is very smooth out to at least 30" (my draw length). It took me a bit longer to find somewhere to let a few arrows off. (It's illegal in the town where I live, but it's a small town and I'm within walking distance of National Forest outside of city limits. So walk I did.) Shooting the bow my first impression was how smooth and quiet the release is (used to compounds...) and my only regret was not having a proper target. After 10 very smooth shots (and one broken arrow) I was satisfied. This bow is FUN! Tomorrow it's off to the range!

I've shot plenty of compound. But this being the first recurve I've owned, I opted for the 35# limbs. I'm probably pulling more like 39 at my draw. But it feels lighter to me than my friend's 60", 40#. The extra few inches makes stacking less of an issue I think. It'll take me a while to get used to the lack of let-off compared to a compound. So I'm glad I opted for the lighter limbs. At 35# I can shoot it for a long time. Besides I feel like if I got a heavier bow to start I'd make more mistakes in my form fighting the bow and it just would be less fun...

All in all, I'm very happy with the bow and ecstatic with Twig Archery's set-up! I literally only had to screw the limbs on and string it and it was 100% ready to shoot!

  7. Great looking, smooth and quiet. 5 Star Review

Posted by on 30th May 2013

After much research, I decided on the 30#Sage, but could not find it in lighter limbs anywhere...So I started the 30# Journey! The instructional videos on the Twig website were very helpful. I am pleased with the look and performance of the bow.

  8. Defective bow, disappointing customer service 2 Star Review

Posted by on 28th May 2013

The bow was shipped fairly quickly however the bow I received was riddled with issues and I wasn't even able to remove one of the limb bolts. I called Twig for a replacement and they said, sorry all warranty work has to be run through Lancaster Archery.... Lancaster is working on resolving the issue; however my suggestion is just buy from Lancaster to begin with and skip the middle man.

NOTE FROM TWIG ARCHERY: Manufacturing issues MUST go through Lancaster Archery who is the USA distributor for Samick bows. These are our instructions from Lancaster Archery. As the customer was told, it would save him time to go directly thru Lancaster otherwise customer would have to ship the defective bow to us, we would then have to ship the bow to Lancaster Archery to get approval for replacement and then they would ship a replacement bow to us and then we would have to ship the bow back to the customer. (Just like with any other product- when there is a manufacturing defect it must go back to the manufacturer). Anything other than a manufacturing issue would be taken care of by Twig Archery in a timely, & courteous manner.
